We will embark on a new version of eportfolios (digital resumes and portfolios) this semester.
Using HTML5 templates, students may now create a digital resume that will work on smartphones, tablets and computers. See the example I created for the students at Aubie.me. The final projects will be shared with all at PRProspects.me as always.
Just like other eportfolio projects being adopted by universities these days, our class has been building these for over a decade. We follow the same principles the new projects aim to provide:
● Synthesize learning experiences
● Showcase skills and abilities
● Our project expands existing capstone or senior projects, involving industry advisors, and responding to expectations of their disciplines
● The project emphasizes:
→ Effective Communication
→ Critical Thinking through connections & contextualization
→ Technical Competence
→ Visual Literacy
Note: these key elements come from the Auburn University eportfolio PPT attached.
